Page One : Guidance notes on completing the Online Referral

Please read these notes carefully and in full as they contain advice on how to access the Money Advice Service.

This is the referral form for applicants and all registered students at the University of Cumbria who wish to access free support for specialist student funding queries or personal finance advice. This service is offered by the Student and Staff Services Money Advice Team.  We can help with queries ranging from statutory funding (i.e Student Finance England or NHS grants and loans), bursaries, state benefits, managing your money whilst being a student to supporting those in financial hardship.

Please note: if you are a current student you will need your Student number for the referral form to be processed.

This form takes most people approximately 5 minutes to fill in and is required to log your case and allocate a money adviser.

Subject to staff availability, we will offer appointments in person, via telephone or electronically (using Skype) normally within 10 working days from the point of referral, but it may be sooner! 

Once you have completed the online referral form and pressed the submit button the details are sent to the Money Advice Service staff team to process, no-one outside of the university have access to your information. We will contact you to offer you an appointment to see one of the team.

 

Please be aware that simple queries can be answered either through checking our online FAQ's or by emailing moneyadvice@cumbria.ac.uk - if you are clear about the nature of your question and we are able to answer it with a quick email response we will do so, however more complicated queries will require this referral form to be completed.
